In July we moved out of Morning Star Road and onto the narrowboat - for a week or so. Well, that was the plan. In the end we stayed for almost 9 weeks!

Here are some highlights:

Will, Anna and Franch sit on the front of the boat.

The dinghy came to a sad end after red ants had eaten away at the transom. It kept Alex, Franch Liz and Christopher very warm one night!

Anna and Christopher walked from the Garage into the centre of Davenrty. Anna is sporting a particularly boating look.

Alex took charge of fishing. Here he is landing his first fish. Anna and Franch who had given up watching came back to look on.

And minutes later Alex landed what turned out to be the best catch of the season. This Perch was about 8 inches long.

Christine and George came to visit (and Mark). We had a lovely BBQ. Here they are doing some serious fishing.

We had a steady stream of ducks and swans visit. Franch was in charge of feeding time (which was basically whenever any birds came to the hatch). Sales of cornflakes in Northamptonshire have taken a marked dive since we moved back onto dry land.

We went out on the boat for the day one Sunday, and picked Alex, Franch and Charlie up from their Dad's.
